I was lucky enough to spend International Women’s Day teamed up with @Kwiksatik for a vitual meet-up and photo walk. @Kwiksatik organized the event and has published a fantastic recap here:

For my part, I visited some awesome women owned businesses, as well:
The first was owned by Johanna Bobb-Semple, She Laughs Hair and Makeup Boutique.

I found out that her popular business was listed on Google Maps as permanently closed! However, she was very much in business, just going to her clients homes. I gave her information on contacting Google my Business to see if her business could be possibly added to Google Maps as a Service Area Buiness
Onward to Aunt Bea’s Donut Shop, where I discovered it did not exist! So I was able to do some Map editing! I did verify this by not only going to the address and finding it was a treatment center of long standing,(the director of nursing was a woman) so Honoring Strong Women Continued, but also calling the phone number listed on Google Maps, and discovering it was a spam, telemarking line.
My next stop was very successful! I patronized local a local restaurant owned by Liz Munson.

I was able to Review her restaurant Liz’s Where Y’at Diner, upload some traditional photos to Google Maps and a 360 photo to StreetView!
My day continued to be fantastic, as I visited a great female Dr, Jayne Sanchez D.D.S…

Next I went to Franco’s Health Club and Spa. Sandy Franco has co-owned this very successful gym with her husband Ron for over 35 years!
