One of my favorite places in the San Francisco Bay Area… Filoli!!!
Filoli was built between 1915 and 1917 for William Bowers Bourn II, owner of one of California’s richest gold mines and president of Spring Valley Water Company, supplying San Francisco’s water and his wife Agnes. This was their beloved country home until Mrs. Bourn passed on in 1936. It was sold in 1937 to the Roth family. In 1975, Mrs. Roth donated the estate in its entirety to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, with an endowment that helps support annual operating expenses.
This is an incredible place to visit, regardless of the time of year. Something is always in bloom.
I have used my Insta360 One X camera to capture some 360 video of the estate in September (early Autumn here) so that anyone, anywhere can enjoy the sights and sounds of this beautiful place!
This is just one of the 360 videos I have created for this place. You can find the rest of them on my YouTube channel in the "Filoli Estate & Gardens" playlist. I will continue to add video from different seasons to this playlist!
You can view my photos of the day in my Google Photos album: Filoli in September 2019 (early Autumn)
If you find yourself in the Bay Area, I hope you will take some time to see this beautiful place in person!
Admission is $22/adults (which is why I have a membership) with discounts for children, seniors, students, teachers and military. You find all of the information pertaining to admission, hours and special events here.

@AlejandraMaria my friend!!! Hoping to see you here soon!!! And yes, this garden is the MOST zen. The hummingbirds and dragonflies dancing about…
I love 360 video for exactly that, when done well it should feel like you’re joining me on an adventure. I feel very lucky to live where I do. The very least I can do is to share it!
See you in November!

Hi @KimberlyAnnG thank you for sharing about this beautiful Filoli garden, you have captured it in all angles, 360 video and photos, and you did a very good job there. Your 360 camera looks better than the one I have, based on video quality.
Did you take some time of from Connect? it has been long since I last came across your posts or your comments here, I can tell when you not around…lol. It is great to see you back here.

Thank you @Raphael-Mahumane for taking the time to fully enjoy my post! Yes, Filoli is an amazing place. Glad you think so too!
No, haven’t taken time off from Connect. 12 posts since May. Prior to May I was in Japan and working on the Go Loco podcast… The worst thing about Connect is you can’t “follow” anyone. If you don’t catch a post on the landing page before it gets bumped out of the top 3, you probably won’t.
Glad you caught this one!
