Few pictures from Ireland this week. 5.5 Weeks since lock-down.

Hope everyone is continuing to do well.

So 5.5 weeks into lockdown here, just sharing a few pictures taken during this past week. Mostly pictures from the balcony or window given its lockdown, a few from our brief & short walks within our street. Were permitted to go outside for exercise within 2 km (1.2 Miles) from our home.

Anyhow wishing you all the best wherever you are based. Best, Jim

Oh and been getting fantastic sunrises these last few days, been loving watching them from the balcony. Been very lucky in that regards.

Beautiful nature photos @Jim_Allen . Were they taken in a park? What camera were you using?

Awesome, @Jim_Allen !

I suppose you are not using a phone for these beautiful shots, right?

The sunset picture looks like a sunset in Africa though!

Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

The pictures were taken with a Sony DSC-HX400V in my street or on my balcony. The first one of the Starling is from my balcony so is the sunrise. The butterfly and hoverfly were taken whilst walking up the road.

Thanks, no I’m using a Sony DSC-HX400V.

The sunrise was stunning and I have to say the last 2 weeks they have been amazing. Here is a zoomed out shot about 5-10 mins before the others were taken and the full colour of the sky had popped so to speak.

@Jim_Allen Beautiful photos, plants and animals have benefited from the pandemic, because humans are no longer bothering them as much, I’m happy for them!

Amazing Macro or zoomed shots @Jim_Allen

Did you take those shots being really close to those insects?

How much time did it take for all those lovely shots, seems like good amount of effort for sure.
