Hi everyone,
Accessibility is always and will be one of my favorite contributions in Google Maps. I remember when the Accessibility was announced few years back. I went on edited most of my reviews and added the Accessibility information. If I like a place to the most and on the review even if I give the rating as 5, I will mostly highlight the Accessibility information of that place and I have seen many businesses replying to the review saying they will work on the feedback.
There are so many businesses who try their best to provide a good service to the customers and find ways to improve it. What I feel is that they are unaware of the importance of accessibility. Leaving the accessibility information in Google Maps will let the Business Owners know that people expect them to provide accessible facility to thier Business place.
In this post, I will share with you few Accessible places which I noticed and added to Google Maps.
Prior to lock down, I mostly travel every week from Bengaluru to Tamil Nadu and vice versa to go to work at Bengaluru and come back in weekend to hometown in Tamilnadu. In the highway I noticed the Domino’s and went once, the entrance is accessible and the view from the place is great. I took some great photos inside as there was no crowd that time.
The Hyatt Centric has the accessible entrance as well as accessible parking too. I visited it during Connect Live 2018. You can see Budiono from Indonesia coming out of the entrance. You can see the accessibility sign board at the corner of the door.
Hotel Soundarya not only serves great dishes it has accessibility entrance too. On our visit to Chikmagalur, we had visited Hotel Soundarya for almost three times. They serve great vegetarian dishes by the way.
This is one of my favorite places to visit at free times in Bengaluru. It is next to Visvesvaraya Museum. The Government Aquarium has the wheelchair accessible entrance and the ticket price is very low too. There are lots of fish species present inside the Aquarium. A great place to take kids especially.
I hope you like this post. Suggest me in comments with some tips on how we can improve on adding accessibility information to Google Maps.
Stay safe. Happy Guiding!
