Love and Belonging!
Feeling of belonging to a family, society, community or a group of friends is the first need after Physiological and Safety needs in Maslow’s hierarchy.
I am not sure what Google Maps is, a Community, a Society a group or a family. But I know I belong there from the very second, I rated a restaurant in Tehran and I know Iam being helpful and I LOVE THIS FAMILY 
.
This is all so different in Google Maps!
Whenever you are lost in street, you have to ask someone on the street and it isn’t always helpful if they are also not familiar with the area or even worse, when they are not willing to answer and they just make you more confused with hasty directions 
.
People say their stories, their suggestion and they answer directions question about the places they have been or they are familiar with and that’s what important for me. Local Guide are willing to help people who are lost on tracks, whom are not sure and whom are waiting for another opinion to make up their mind.

Whenever I receive a new letter from Google maps, I FEEL GREAT.
When I see the number of people I have helped in the letter, I get more encouraged to take photos, give detailed (more than 200 characters) review, rate truthfully the places I’ve been.
I’m Developing talents.
Looking back at the photos I have taken 2 years ago, makes me cringe inwardly. I cared so little about the aspect, lighting and position to take photos. But considering thousands of view my photo have gotten,makes me wanna show the best photos I can afford to take 
.
Not only has my photography skills improved, but also my writing and storytelling. I have learned to write more detailed, more interesting andhave learned to summarize all the information about a topic in just few lines 
.
Let alone all the above mentioned, I am nowdeveloping an eagle eyes for the sake of rating 
.
This helps me to pay attention to the sites I go. knowing if they gave accessible wheelchair entrance, do they offer catering? do they …
All those developed skills I talked about aren’t just helping other people but also me myself;
I have now better photos in my camera roll, they are in perfect position and lighting. Now I have learned to talk briefly but efficient, have learned to gain information before going anywhere.
For me Local Guide program means improving, all together, for each other, ourselves 
.
