Ha Xa parish is located in Tan Le commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province; about 40 km northwest of Thai Binh Bishop’s Court. The Pastor of Ha Xa parish is Father Joseph Nguyen Quang Phuc. This parish now has more than 1,100 people in the name of 13 churches.
Ha Xa has a very special geography, the Parish is located at the junction of two major rivers: where the Luoc River separates the stream from the Red River; and also the three provincial junction: Thai Binh - Ha Nam - Hung Yen.
According to tradition, the ancestor of Ha Xa village, Nguyen Quoc Dat, was the mandarin of the Nguyen Dynasty’s history, changed from Nguyen family to Ha family and established a business in Tay Truc Kieu land on Luoc river.
Vị tộc trưởng đặc biệt có một người con trai thứ hai tên là Hà Đăng Khương, tên là Hồng Phúc. Năm 15 tuổi, Hà Đăng Khương được các nhà truyền giáo Tây Ban Nha nhận nuôi vào nhà thờ Hùng Yên và được rửa tội với tên thánh Daminh.
Sau này, Đaminh Hà Đăng Khương được đặt tên là Thống đốc Yên Mỹ của Bắc Ninh - Kinh Bắc. Sau khi xây dựng gia đình, anh xin nghỉ việc ở quê nhà và mua đất ở Đông Nội ở quận Tây Trúc Kiều. Nhờ mối quan hệ mật thiết với các nhà truyền giáo đang giảng đạo tại Phố Hiền (Hùng Yên), bà Hà đã mời họ về nhà để truyền giáo.

The patriarch specifically had a second son named Ha Dang Khuong, whose name was Hong Phuc. At the age of 15, Ha Dang Khuong was adopted by Spanish missionaries into Hung Yen church and was baptized with the holy name Daminh.
Later, Daminh Ha Dang Khuong was named Yen My governor of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac. After building a family, he resigned from his homeland and bought land in Dong Noi in Tay Truc Kieu county. Thanks to an intimate relationship with the missionaries preaching in Pho Hien (Hung Yen), Mrs. Ha invited them to come home to evangelize.
