Rajasthan is a major tourists attraction state and Chittoregarh is a very popular Word Heritage Site housing numerous spectacular monuments. It remain the pride of Mewar Rulers for centuries. I love to travel to Rajasthan quite often due to ancient cultures and architectural monuments which is my spirit. Fateh Prakash Palace is a major tourists attraction located in Chittoregarh.

Fateh Prakash Palace is situated near Rana Kumbha Palace and close to the Badi Pol, double storey magnificent palace was built by Maharana Fateh Singh in 1884 to 1930 AD… It’s a rectangular complex and exterior is also very attractive all the four corners are having octagonal towers flanked by domed canopies and finial. First floor above the gate having the balcony and roof is supported by arched pillars. Roof top is having umbrellas having pyramidal roof and crowned by urns. Either side of balcony arched windows are built. In the courtyard is having a fountain, central water pool with a magnificent canopy having the statue of Maharana Fateh Singh. In fact it’s a well maintained palace and. Built by stone though painted yellow and highly influenced by Rajasthani Architecture and Umbrellas and decorated pillars are illustrating the Rajputana Architecture. This palace was a royal residence hence having spacious rooms and halls.
The State Government have established a museum in this Palace, where stone sculptures of this area, arms, clothing, sculptures, ancient paintings, fresco paintings, pictures and artefacts of historical significance and folk items are exhibited. Its doors and wooden windows having veil curtain as a person can see from inside to out side but from out side it is not possible. These are spectacular and the main entrance is facing the North of this rectangular complex. It is very famous for Lord Ganesh Idol, placed in the Courtyard.

Hello @rizbab28 ,

Thank you for sharing this interesting location and great photos with us.

Generally speaking, in India, is it possible to take photos inside museums?

According to you, is there a museum which for India is what the Louvre is for France?

Hello @BorrisS

Thanks for your attention and encouraging appreciation. Of course, in mostly museums visitors are permitted to take photos and videos except few Archaeological museums. A nominal fee is charged for photography. So, please have a plan after this pandemic.
