Fast Food with a South Indian Twist

Ever heard of a Sandwich without bread ? or a pizza without pizza base?

I was amazed to know about it too…

Being a foodie I love to try out new food and explore street food.

I came across this restaurant which makes some amazing food with a healthy twist.

Here bread and pizza base is replaced with IDLI (a South Indian dish made with fermented lentil and rice)

The IDLI batter is used to make the pizza base and topped with different kind of vegetable toppings, pizza sauce, cheese, oregano, chilly flakes etc. and the taste is as delicious as a regular pizza but more healthier.

Same way they also make sandwich with a bread (which is made with IDLI batter) stuffed with different spices and veggies a lip smacking taste and a healthier option.

Apart from that there are more variety of fusion foods like

Sizzlers, Chinese, authentic South Indian food with a western Twist

Hi @FalguniP ,

This looks really unique and I can’t even think of having Idli as a pizza base. Were you getting a mixed taste of both Italian and South Indian cuisine?

Can you give more information about this restaurant? Is it located in Mumbai?

Not at all it tasted like a regular pizza infact quite crispy @Tushar18 and yes their filter Coffee (Kappi) is heavenly

This restaurant has 2 different branches one is located at Malad (near mind space) other one is located at Andheri.

They have more interesting stuff like

Idli sizzler which is on my wishlist

@Tushar18 the restaurant Just told that they spread idli batter like pizza and once it’s half cooked they add toppings, cheese, oregano, chilli flakes sauces.
