I had an unexpected experience when visiting Arlington, Texas. Did you know Arlington, Texas was probably Vegas BEFORE Vegas?!
I don’t want to spoil the tour for anyone who is fascinated by prohibition history in the U.S… but this tour was about underground gambling, gangsters, celebrities, murderers (spoiler: Bonnie and Clyde), escape tunnels (we walked through), real-life interviews from employees and visitors, and words that cannot be spoken because it will put lives in danger 95 years later…
All discovered by the Preacher’s wife on the campus of a Baptist Bible Seminary… I’ve never been left so fascinated and wanting more! They said the HISTORY Channel has picked up the story…
The most interesting part to me was that there are probably more underground escape tunnels that have not been explored due to monetary constraints. There is so much more left to be discovered!
