2. Where would we go in Himalayas?
The length and breadth of the Himalayan ranges is huge. We would be going to our tent houses at a small village before Shimla, Himachal Pradesh; at a hamlet called Shoghi. It’s a lesser known area in foothills of Himalayas where lush green of nature and high rising mountains can be enjoyed the best by any nature lover or an adventure freak.
We would be staying at foothills of Himalayan ranges and would not be exposed to extreme weather conditions or wildlife kingdom as such, inside a local village.
3. It is safe for me to travel in the mountains? I have never done this before.
Yes, absolutely! We would be staying at tents which are easily accessible by roads and the trekking & adventure sports are also beginners level activities with proper support and safety gears being provided at the camps. Age, gender or prior experience is no bar.
The temperature would be moderately hot during day time and pleasantly cold in night. There would be no extreme temperatures during our stay. This is a kids friendly location and children above the age of 12 are welcome to join the camps.
4. Who can participate? Can we bring a friend alongwith?
Anyone who get fascinated by the morning sunshine of the hills or by the idea of bonfire in the midnight is welcome! Local guides of all levels can join us alongwith their friends family or mates. We would have a special photowalk into the hills and a session about Google Maps contributions and stories too!
5. How would we commute?
Depending upon the number of LGs who confirm their participation (after making payment for relevant stay), we shall decide the mode of transport.
If the number of participants is upto 15 we would hire a fully air conditioned tempo traveler and for member upto 15-27, we would book a comfortable AC bus. The vehicle would be driven by professional drivers and water & snacks would be provided within the vehicles. We would also have mic and speakers for music and interactions during the road trip! 6. Where would we stay?
We would stay at luxury tents on twin sharing basis in Shoghi at resorts called Hail Himalayas. The tents would have attached bathroom , fan and comfortable bedding. These tents are categorized as Luxury Tents for their interiors and accommodation experience. For price of tent refer FAQ no 8
