Today I am sharing my recent tour visit in the “Kunjapuri temple”, at tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
Uttarakhand was formerly known as Uttaranchal it is the 27th state of India, it was formed in 9 November 2000 it is situated in northern part of India. Uttarakhand is covered form some country and some national states like china ,Nepal, Tibet and in India share with Uttar pradesh and Himanchal pradesh.
Uttarakhand is also know as devbhoomi (land of Gods), there is so many Ancient temples in uttarakhand.
this state is full of Indian culture, history and natural beauty, there is so many thing to do like explore nature beauty, adventure or tracking, hiking and many others things…
there is approximately 311 stairs to reach temple. it is an old temple dedicated to the goddess Kunjapuri devi. kunjapuri is said to be one of the 52 shaktipeeths established in the region by jagadguru shankracharya ji. the lengend is that sati the wife of Lord Shiva, gave up her life in the yajna started by her father. Lord Shiva passed through this place on his way back to kailash with the dead body of sati whose the upper-half of the body fell at the spot where the temple of Kunjapuri Devi stands. it commands a beautiful view of the snow-ranges of the Himalayas and the valley of bhagirathi…
