This is the famous Khullad Chai from Gulab Ji Chai of Jaipur , Rajasthan , India.
Khullad basically is the utensil in which it is served which is made of clay and sand it gives a good aroma and texture to the chai (tea)
It costs Rs. 20 INR which is very affordable and with chai(tea) must try Bun Maska basically it is bread and butter but it goes with in combination with tea.
About Gulab Ji
Some seven decades ago when Gulab Singh Ji Dhirawat decided he wanted to open a Chai shop, he was discouraged by all including his own family members. This young lad hailed from a Rajput family (Marshal Race). Thus, the idea of selling tea was put down as it was considered a low profile work for him. However, working in the NBC factory he was able to save some money to start the tea shop which would eventually, become an integral part of Jaipur’s modern history.
It’s a must try drink if travelling to jaipur rajasthan as it contains both the taste and the history behind it.
