I took the Belgian family, parents with two daughters, one of the daughters being the exchange student of National Chengchi University in Taipei city, to an organic tea farm in Yilan county (northeast of Taiwan ) for experiencing the tea production, from tea harvesting to tea making.
But there was one episode, the day before we took the journey to the tea farm, there had one big about magnitude 7 degree earthquake in the east of Taiwan, and some attractions we were planning to stay, that we had to make a stop regretfully.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am sure that your guests had a lot of fun too! Did you buy some tea from the tea farm? I still haven’t seen how tea is made.
Do you consider going to Belgium and visiting your friends some day?
@porkgoldzhuzhu . Hello, thank you for sharing your story. Well I just finished having to not long ago. It feels like I was in the same farm like you guys; believe it or not.
Hello @MoniDi yes, i bought one Taiwanese tea variety called, <Jinxuan “Golden Daylily” Variety>, the tea trees there are all organic planted, of course, also with some discounts of the high prices compared with the tea tree using fertilizer. The tea-making should be including, 1) plucking “one-tip two-leaf” from the tea tree. 2) tossing and setting the tea leaf to make the water walking away evenly. 3) fermentation and oxidation. 4) fixation-rolling-shaping.
Definitely, i would like to visit the Belgium family, but the Greek mother may have some different opinions, because the elder daughter had lots of conversation with me and Mama didn’t like that…
Hello @KyleZhang well, foreigners are all very interested in the Taiwanese tea, and go somewhere outside Taipei city it would be more full of novelty. Of course, if i have the chance i will show you more details about the tea making … see you
