This language school had before a few months very bad reviews (avarage of about 3) because of reasons I know personally. They have very bad teaching service and als steal the money from teachers before kick them away without paying them.
The owner started to offer reduced prices for each 5 stars review. And so, not they have an avarage of about 5 in very short time.
And you don’t even need to believe me. Check how all 5 stars reviews are done in short time and from accounts with only that review, because they never gave a review before, and did now to ger the costs of a course reduced.
This action caused to hide the true reviews with the story behind the bad behavior of this school.
But I find no way to correct that. And the systen doesn’t recognize how fake these reviews are.
What to do?
Why the system doesn’t recognize how reviews of 5 stars start to appear in that weird way from empty inactive user accounts and all have basically the same content?
Here in Ecuador this is common. I am trying to fight against that, but Google gives me no good tools. They are even local guides who take money or benefits to give a positive review !!!
This is sad, and yes, I clearly see the logic of what you mentioned.
And of course in this community Google can check the “Local Guide” side, but it will not have a big impact (as most of the reviewers are not Local Guides).
It is possible of course to report every single review, and every single profile directly from Google Maps App, following the instructions on How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps. and about how to report a profile. For more details about the procedure, please click HERE
But the most efficient action is to report the Business. Unfortunately this cannot be done here (on the local Guide Community), but of course you can contact the Google My Business Help Community . As the business is claimed, and is acting against the rules, Google My Business will have to take care of them

As @ErmesT mentioned if you think it’s a fake review, you can report the review as being off-topic. Google Maps team may take down the review that is flagged as fake or in violation of Google’s review policies.
