Fake local guides

Hi All,

I have found some local guides post fake information , photos and non relevant posts,

Can i report those local guides?

Can condivide this information with this group? So, i have the same question. There are spam local guide that not use correct photos.

Hi there @RadieN - I have just received my first fake review from someone who has never been to my business. I see that they are mass reviewing lots of things locally (presumably to raise their ranking). Can I get the appropriate info to move forward with reporting? Thanks so much! This is such a bummer!

Hi @RadieN

This exact same thing has happened to me. This person is obviously rating all these similar businesses through Google’s suggestions, but has clearly not been to all these businesses. I know for a FACT this person has never been to my place of business.

Please let me know how to proceed in reporting this user’s violation of terms!

Thank you for flagging this, however, I would like to ask you to not share publically other Local Guides information. We will investigate but will not share the results of the investigation with you.

If you find other LGs you want to report in the future, just tag a Google Moderator in your post, stating that you want to report someone and we will reach to you privately. :slight_smile:

It’s been three months since I reported this and the fake review is still up about my business… Is anyone doing anything about it?
