Greetings from Ireland! No matter what I do I can’t seem to get the “Facts checked” counter to go up. I’m answering lots of questions about places but I’m not sure what counts towards it. Can anyone please help me

This is a known bug and the team is working on it for the bug fix as you can see here in GC response. It is taking more than the expected time. Please be patient till further announcement on this from Google.
Meanwhile Facts Checked points are captured under "Answers’.

I’ve been experiencing same since long.
Have checked facts but number on map remain stagnant.
What to do to increase the number?
