I am already a Master Reviewer, Master Photographer, Master Trailblazer and an Expert Director. However, my Fact Finder badge has not able to go beyond Novice level, no matter how much ever I contribute. The Facts Checked count just does not move, no matter how many facts I verify. Is this a bug or am I doing it totally wrong?
This is how, I attempt to Check Facts-
As you can see, the Edits and Answers count grows but, Facts Checked just doesn’t. It has stopped growing for over 3 years now.

In practice is it currently not possible to check facts for the Factfinder badges.
You may find my post on How to check some facts - these days! helpful.

Thanks @MortenCopenhagen for replying. I read your usefully detailed post. However, my concern is slightly different. I have my location history permanently ON and I have never felt shortage of Facts to check. Even now, I have ten places and their Confirm Place Info questions listed for me. I am actually surprised to know that some people are actually finding it difficult to find edits to verify.
The problem that I’m facing is that even after verifying edits for over hundred places, my Facts Checked counter just refuses to grow beyond 18. It has been stuck somewhere there for at least over 3 years now. You can see that counter in my screenshot of original post and you can see how other two counters (Edits and Answers) have been growing rightly.

The Quick stats are in my experience not very reliable. And the badge statistics can take 1 or 2 weeks to update. So when testing, please use only the Contribution stats page (the first screenshot in your reply).
Please make a test to see if your checked facts are counted as answers. And share a screenshot showing you checking some facts.

It is nice if you are still able to check the facts even these days.
Could you please share a screenshot? Do you test it with GPS on or off?
I don’t even try to tally the quick stats score with my profile counters. I used to trust the system. But, now I am going to be in doubts 
Btw, I have tested it enough in past few years to know that the counter is not growing anymore. You can see the growth of other counters to know that I have been pretty active with contributions.

Nothing changes on my profile counter. But, for other contributions, I can see the growth immediately. As suggested by you, I am also going to wait for 2 weeks to go and check again but, from my experience, I am not very hopeful.
I shared few more screenshots in my reply above. I have my GPS always On. Also, the location history is also always On. Whenever I want to leave a place’s review later, I go to that place and confirm- “Are you here now?”. These seems to be generally enough to keep getting recommendations in my contributions.

It is nice to see check the facts questions. I have not seen any for a very long time.
I don’t doubt you are not getting any credits for checking the facts. I wanted you to test if your check the facts points are counted as answers instead as many other LGs have reported.

Thanks for checking. All my apps are set to auto-update. Maps too is always updated as I am always eager to try the latest features of it.
It seem very rare problem @Getzafar .
Do you ever try to use your laptop or desktop to do Fact Checking ?
No @BudiFXW I don’t think I’ve ever seen option of Fact Checking/ Verifying Edits on desktop. Do you know how to do that on desktop version of maps?
Personnaly I do not how to solve your problems @Getzafar .
