This meet-up happened suddenly and accidentally. Previously we met Indonesia Regional Meet-up event at Surabaya and had contact once. In fact, at first I forgot that Mom Ratri was a participant too LOL.

When I went to Surabaya, I just casually contacted local guides in Surabaya because I wanted to fill my free time as well as have a reunion and share. Because it wasn’t possible for there to be too many people, I adjusted my free time to local guide friends. Coincidentally, those who warmly welcomed the invitation were Mom Ratri and Mom Local Guides @NurulRahma .

Meeting with 2 local mom guides on different days. When we met Mom Ratri, we met at Pakuwon Mall in West Surabaya. We enjoyed Ice Cream Mixue (One of our Vaforite Ice Cream haha).

Mom Ratri is a mother of 3 boys. She is also an amazing teacher. It turned out that he had only been in Surabaya for 2 months after moving from the Sentul area. Currently he is active as #IamRemarkable mentor support by Google, a program which is now an NGO. Mom Ratri is a cool person, you can see when you meet her that she is a down-to-earth person. Many lessons were learned when we chatted for a long time, from conversations about contributions to Google, career, parenting, to other random things, one of which was anxiety about being a new resident in Surabaya hahaha.

Meeting with Local Guides Mom @NurulRahma was no less exciting. We met at Ramen Master. He invited his friend Mba Ve, a Jawa Post redaktur who was also cool. During this meet-up it turned out that it was Mom’s @NurulRahma birthday and this was to treat us. Happy birthday to you, wish you all the best. She said there was no need for cake, because as you get older it’s not good to eat too much sugar haha.

Mom is a former reporter and journalist, she once worked for several leading companies, but has now decided to become a full mom and pursue blogging. He had the opportunity to take part in connect live 2017 in the US. Congratulations to Mom for always being enthusiastic and total in doing anything. He is very productive in writing and has won blogging and other competitions several times. Cool! Advice that is worth noting is to be an empowered young person, stay consistent in doing what you like and can do, don’t get tired of learning, don’t give up easily.
The extraodinary meeting with these two local moms was very enjoyable. there are many advice that can be taken. Hopefully you can meet many other local guides throughout Indonesia and if you are lucky you will also meet local guides from all over the world.
