Exploring Vizhinjam Harbour with LG Aleena

Hy Local Guides, :beach_umbrella:

Me and @aleena1 decided to explore Vizhinjam Harbour as she’s from Bangalore and visited Trivandrum for work. Aleena works in a Book Publishers organisation and also she is an independent content writer and a street photographer. She is a wonderful local guide who gives her voice on important awareness related days like Accessibility, LGBTQ+ and Women Empowerment.

We gathered at around 6am and travelled to Vizhinjam. We reached there around 6:45am and started walking towards the harbour.

Sea was so calm and blue-ish which was rare to be seen in my region’s coast. Sea was so transparent that we could see exact patterns in the fish’s fins.

There are two churches and two mosques situated near the harbour. Above image is the Vizhinjam Old Portuguese Church.

We can also see this mosque near the second area of the harbour. Above image is the Thekkumbhagam Juma Masjid.

Most unique and beautiful photograph we should take is the photos of street photographers doing their work. I think this would be a good photo I took on that day. Person who taking the photo with the camera is Aleena.

Another mosque closer to the viewpoint of the harbour.
