When we arrived Siliguri, it was night. And our trekking will be starting from the next day. So, we decided to try some street foods. Today I’m going to share the foods we tasted.
Egg Roll: The main things in egg roll was egg and roti. After getting an order, the shopkeeper starts preparing this. I noticed he used a roti that he prepared before. At first, he fry the egg and then put the roti on top. After this he used some toppings and sauce. Unfortunately, the taste was not good as I expected. I thought it would be spicy, but the egg roll was sweet.
Momo: I think the best thing I ate in Siliguri is momo. There Chicken momo and Vegetables momo both were available. We ordered chicken momo. The momo already in steam. After getting order they started to serve us. The momo was served with chutney and sauce.
Chola: When my friend ordered this, I thought it was Jhalmuri or something like that. When I started watching the making of it, I realized it was something different. He used chola, onions, chillies, oil and also an ingredient like chanachur. After mixing all, the taste was good.
Chicken Fry: After momo, the chicken fry is another food which I liked. They prepared all ingredients. After getting order, they fry the chicken and serve with chutney.

I am glad to read you explored the street food here.
The best part of exploring street food is that you get the real taste of local cuisine made with local ingredients it’s usually pocket friendly and easily available!
Street foods are really budget friendly! In Rimbick and Darjeeling, I also tasted veg momo. Both are good. But for me Rimbick’s veg momo is the best. Specially the chutney or raita made the momo more tasty.
I thought it’s all about non-veg, so you wouldn’t like it!
