Nepal is the land of eight thousanders (being 8 mountains of height more than 8,000 m). The pointed apex of anything has the high energy so the Himalayas (the apex of earth). The high mountains and the hills were always been the favorite places for saints. Govindananda Bharati from Kerala, India also moved to Nepal and started to meditate in the Shivapuri hill of Kathmandu valley. This is why he is well renowned as Shivapuri baba. He lived in this earth from 1826 to 1963 AD.

The Shivapuri Baba Samadhi Aashram is situated in the North-East of the UNESCO world heritage site; the Pashupatinath Temple. The Aaashram is in the middle of jungle in Dhrubasthali and has the hall for meditation. The place is open for all and there is no any entree fee. After meditation each visitor is provided a cup of milk tea.

As a foreigner if you’re sightseeing around Pashupatinath Temple then don’t forget to visit this place also. Generally this place is not included in travelling itinerary so you need to demand for exploring this hidden spiritual gem.

Hi @BishowvijayaP ,

This place looks incredible, thank you for sharing!

Even the deer are looking peaceful in this place, I would love to visit one day. It’s been a long time dream of mine to visit Nepal.

If I ever get to go, I will visit this place for sure. I love these attractions that are not swarmed with tourists, so this is just the place for me.

Are there also people living there everyday, or is it only open for visitation?

Thank you so much for the appreciation @NirajBhusal . Meditation continues.

Rejoice is what the life seeks. One who does meditation enjoys the life and the one who doesn’t enjoy life can’t do meditation. Thank you so much for the nice feedback @TheEagleEye .

Dear @MortenSI ,

Namaste! Always a heartiest welcome to you in Nepal.

I love the way you liked the video which makes me feel that I made somehow good video.

Saints use to live in this place. Other people can visit the place, meditate there and enjoy the library. Library opens for particular time in specific days of a week. There are other meditation places which provide overnight stay facilities. Over the internet you can find other meditation and yoga retreat centers which are focused for commercial purpose. On the itinerary in the travel agencies, such centers get featured.

When I’ll have a time I’ll continue to explore hidden gems via local guide connect platform. In future if you need any information before you make a journey to Nepal, I am willing to assist you. Thank you so much!

I really liked your video @BishowvijayaP , and I think the music fits very well with the relaxing theme.

It seems like you get a really authentic experience by visiting the place, and I will take that over the touristic sites any day.

When I one day decide to go to Nepal I would love some travel advise. A dream of mine has always been to see the Everest Base Camp. I think that would be a special experience, but I would also like to learn about the culture and see what the land has to offer.

Visiting the Everest Base Camp is a common dream to most of the travelers. You’ll be fascinated by the hospitality of the people which will drag you to the lap of mountains again and again. Hope to see you one day in Nepal @MortenSI .
