Ratargul, a lovely swamp forest in Bangladesh, is a place I’ll never forget.
When I arrived, I was amazed by the pretty scenery all around me. It’s called "Sundarbans of Sylhet ".
In the local language of Sylhet, the murta or pati tree is called the “Rata tree”. The name of this forest is Ratargul, from the name of that Rata tree.
Last February, 11 of our University friends decided to travel to Sylhet. Ratargul was a part of our tour. We explore the forest by small boat. But one thing I would like to mention is that the boat fare is too high.
The best part was seeing the different kinds of animals and plants at Ratargul. Birds with bright feathers sat on branches.
On our boat, the boatman was a small boy. He is a very hard-working person. He sang a song with us. The journey was awesome. We all enjoyed that tour.
