Hi @Dnyaneshwar24 ,
Welcome to Connect.
Could you please tell us more about Nashik? Do you live there? Why is it considered the city of the pilgrimage?
I also wanted to let you know that I’ve moved your post to the topic section Travel.
In addition, since you’re new to the community, you might want to share a bit about yourself and get to know others in our monthly Introduce Yourself topic. You can also read these Tips: Using Local Guides Connect.
Hi buddy
Thank you for adding this into travel section.
Well during introduction wikipedia mentioned nashik as the city of pilgrimage and it’s because -
2.During those days nashik is used to be the kingdom of Sugriv ( friend of rama, who provide his army during the war of Ramayan.) He named this place as Kishkindha nagri.
~Due to this here we got many temples of lord rama and sita.
Also here we got lord Shiva’s temple which is considered as, one of the twelevth holy temples in India.
Due to this, after every 13 years the kumbhmela (huge gathering) is get arranged which is considered as the biggest festival of hindu’s.
