Exploring First Village Fair in 2023 #SupportSmallBusinessess

Dated 27th January 2023, I went to Mograpara Shaheb Bari Fair at Mograpara Bazar area Sonargaon. This fair is held on 26th January every year. It will stay about 4-5 days. So I went to the fair this year like every year. I like to visit fairs and buy different kinds of things.

People come from far and wide with their families. Notice the presence of young men and women. This fair is a place of joy for children. There are different types of toys for children. Different types of rides.

Shopkeepers coming from different parts of the country are arranged with small shops. He rents his space for 4-5 days and does business in fairs. Fair shopkeepers travel from district to district throughout the year doing business. Lives a nomadic lifestyle. 3-4 members of the family continue the business like this throughout the year.

The fair has household items, children’s toys, girls’ cosmetics, various rides and games for kids and adults.

The food vendors sit and arrange the food stalls. A common Kaaba shop is seen in all these village fairs. It is a Jilapi shop. Khai, Nimki, Sugar Jilapi, Sweet Jilapi, Batasa etc are available in these Jilapi shops.

The shops of Chatapti are sitting here in this fair. The traffic of young youth is the highest in these shops. Also many shrimp fry shops have opened. It is also a popular shop in all these fairs. This fair is open continuously from 8 am to 12:30 pm. Every day 5000-7000 people visit this fair.

How to Come:

From Dhaka Gulistan, take a bus to Mograpara Bus Stand. Then take an Auto Rickshaw to Mograpara Bazar.
