In my Mumbai trip, I got the chance to meet @FalguniP and @RosyKohli Mam in person for the first time. As title suggests, In this post I will be sharing about my experience exploring Bandra West, Mumbai with Falguni and visiting Rosy Mam in her house in Mumbai.
On the third day (Saturday) of my Mumbai trip, me and my friends decided to take tourist bus like HOHO to cover some of the famous tourist places in Mumbai in a day. We booked the bus from the hotel itself. After having breakfast we reached the stop nearby and got into the bus around 11AM.
We then visited to different places such as Gateway of India, Boat ride, Nehru Museum and I will be writing about it soon in Connect. Later that day, the bus took us to Bandra and the tour guide showed us the Bungalows of famous Bollywood actors.
By that time, most of the points of interest were covered and I checked with the tour guide and got out of the bus in Bandra itself since as discussed with Falguni, we planned to meet at Bandra on the Saturday evening.
After getting out of the bus, I had a walk along the beach side. Bandra is one of the famous places in Mumbai and many Bollywood celebrities’ house is located in Bandra facing the Bandra beach. Surprisingly I was able to take a selfie at the famous Bollywood actor, Salman Khan’s house, Galaxy Apartments entrance. I also enjoyed seeing the outside view of house (named Mannat) of another famous Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan.
I then met Falguni at Bandra for the first time and it felt great to meet in person for the first time while knowing her from a long time. We then went to nearby restaurant, Cafe Sea Side, facing the Bandra beach. We had tea and sandwich in the restaurant.
The beach view from the restaurant was just breathtakingly beautiful.
We also had a call with Rosy Mam, Shruti di and Sumeet from Mumbai and all invited me to meet. Due to not enough time to stay in Mumbai and I was leaving to Bangalore the next day, I was not able to meet Shruti di and Sumeet in Mumbai. Me and Falguni planned to go to St. Mary Basilica Church which is located in Bandra and then to visit Rosy Mam in her house. We took a walk and then reached Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount Mary after walking for sometime while discussing about Local Guides Program. After reaching Mount Mary Church, I took lots of photos there and we went inside and took some photos and then came out. There were some shops near the church where Falguni bought some beautiful keychains and gave it as souvenir and it looks so beautiful.
We then took an auto to visit Rosy Mam in her house. After around an hour of journey due to busy traffic, we reached Rosy Mam’s house. I was very much excited to Meet Rosy Mam in person for the first time. We then went into Rosy Mam’s house and I was so glad to meet Rosy Mam and her family. Rosy Mam made us some tastiest snacks and we also had delicious tea in her house. We discussed about our Local Guides journey and our memorable experiences.
We took some selfies and then after more than an hour, we decided to depart since the Hotel location were I was staying is far and around 1 hour of journey from there. After thanking Rosy Mam, me and falguni left the house and took an auto to reach a nearby station.
From there, as Falguni has to travel the other side to reach her home, I thanked falguni for making the time to meet and explore Bandra and also visiting Rosy Mam’s house along with me and then she departed from there and I travelled and reached the Hotel location after an hour.
It was indeed a beautiful and memorable experience exploring Bandra with Falguni and visiting Rosy Mam in her house. I wish to meet Falguni and Rosy Mam in Bangalore someday so that I can take them to some of the great places in Bangalore.
