Explore it. Feel it. Record your life on Google Maps. No matters those memories are bad or good.

My name is Wan-Ting; I’m a local guide level 7. I’m from Taiwan and I’ve lived in Vancouver, Canada. My friends called me Rabbit because I always jump around everywhere and my personality is outgoing and dynamic. I love adventure, enjoying travel alone.

I don’t like to have a plan for my trip. I don’t book any hotel and transportation before I arrived in the city. I believe that No matter how carefully a project is planned, something may still go wrong with it.

I am going to tell you the true story during my trip to Russia. Google Local Guide plays an important role in my travel.

I went to Russia in 2016, I was an international volunteer in Cheboksary where is the small city in the middle of Russia. Before I finished my volunteer journey, I had talked to some Russian friends about my trip. Except for the big city (Moscow and San Petersburg) where did they recommend? They told me that I could go to Vladimir to see the historical significance around 4 days before I arrive in San Petersburg.

In 2016, there is not so much tour information about Vladimir. But Google Local Guides helped me a lot; I read many reviews from Google Maps then choose some spots to explore with me for 4 days. I also met a new friend from Italy then we went to eat food together. Discuss where we wanted to go next tomorrow. We had so much fun with exploring spots by google maps.

Traveling alone always create unforgettable memories and experiences in life.

Talked with locals, they might share the most special restaurant they always go and secret spots that only locals know. Google Maps could help you to reach the destination and also give ideas from reviews.

Chatted with people next to you, they might share their life stories then become friends with you.

The cafe where you found in the corner, the music of romantic foil with a comfortable atmosphere, you can stay longer as long as you want to enjoy the moment in the city. Sometimes you probably missed out on a train, when you go back home by feet then see the beautiful sunset in the sky.

The collection of memories there was unexpected.

No plan, it’s the best plan.

Sincerely,

Wan-Ting (Rabbit) Local Guide who falling in love with traveling alone.
