Yesterday when I turn my Ipad on I could see some notification that I received an Expert Photographer badge. I did not notice where this notification came from. I unlocked my screen hopping it came to my email but I could not find any email about it on all gmail accounts I have connected to my Ipad. I have SV app installed on it but it is not under the same email as I use for my local guide.
For the last few hours I am trying to find where it has come from but I cannot. Can anybody tell me whether you usually get an email from Google about it like they do for Trusted Photographers?
P.S. And one more unrelated question: why I cannot post on some boards here? I am getting “access denied” even for trying to create a post on General discussion boards for local guides. I have access to street view boards and I can post in a few other boards but not in all of them.
Sorry, one correction. I think the notification was about getting a Master Photographer badge(the last level) At least that what I see on my smartphone that I use with SV app for my local guide account.
There are no issues, I am just trying to figure out if I have lost some email about getting this badge. Technically I should not see any notification on my Ipad as I have no SV app there set with my local guide account and email I use for Ipad is different from my local guide email. I do however use Google maps on Ipad logged with my local guide account email.
I got a similar notification on my android phone yesterday after I created this post and it actually came from Google Maps, not through email nor the SV app. So it looks like there has been no email sent about getting this badge at all, just Google Maps app has pushed the notification about the badge on both my phone and my ipad.
The Master Photographer badge is part of the badges you can earn as a Local Guide and the notification you received came most probably from the Google Maps app.
