To attract tourists from home and abroad, Bangladesh International Travel and Tourism Expo (BITTE) was held for the first time at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka from 1-3 December 2022. Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) organized the fair.
More than 15 countries participated in the fair. These include India, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Azerbaijan, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Oman, United Arab Emirates.
Also, airlines, hospitals, tourism boards, travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, resorts, cruise liners, destination management companies and other travel and tourism related service organizations of different countries participated in the fair.
There were interesting events like seminars, round table discussions, workshops, B-2-B sessions on various topics including product branding, improving the quality of the countryâs tourism services to earn foreign currency and creating a sales market.

Dec 1: âInvestment opportunity in Bangladesh Tourism Sectorâ
Dec 2: âProspect of Aviation and Tourism, Connecting Bangladesh to the worldâ
Dec 3: âThe Impact of 4th industrial revolution in Tourism Industryâ
At the tourism fair, the stalls of the air transport companies were observed to be very crowded. Among them, the stalls of private sector airlines US-Bangla Airlines, NovoAir and newly launched Air Astra were more crowded. The crowd of visitors was also noticeable at the stall of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, a government organization.
Online based service providers such as Share Trip, Flight Expert and Travel Champ are participating in the fair along with various resort and travel service providers including travel, visa.
