Experience of participating in BDLG's 217th Meetup

The 217th Meetup was to be organized on September 9, 2023 under the banner of Bangladesh Local Guides (BDLG). The Meetup was hosted by Ms. Sonia Khorshed @SoniaK , Connect Moderator and member of BDLG. She made a post on Connect Forum on 22nd August 2023 titled “Connecting with Connect- A Meetup for Bangladesh Local Guides” about organizing the meetup. We had to fill a registration form through which I got the opportunity to participate. Now I will tell about my experience in the said meetup.

The Meetup were held both online and offline. About 50 participants were participated at the Meetup. Our host was connected online from the USA. Also many people joined online from different parts of Bangladesh and the world. We gathered at the BASIS auditorium. At 6.00 PM (BST) the Meetup was started.

At the beginning @MahabubMunna welcomed us and @zoburaz conducted the event. The host discussed on various updates regarding Google Maps and Local Guide Connect forum. She gave us directions how to be a better local guide. She also told how Bangladesh’s LGs are contributing to the development of tourism sector of Bangladesh through Local Guide Connect Forum. The event was concluded at 7.30 PM (BST)

I personally benefited by attending the Meetup since I got answers of many unknown questions on various issues relating to Google Maps and Connect Forum. Besides it felt good to be in one place after a long time. I congratulate all the organizers of the Meetup, specially @AbdusSattar bhai.
