@PaulPavlinovich I decided to rewrite this post due to the fact that just the thought of having done the wrong thing was bothering me :).
As a local artisan who sells my hand made foodies, cocktails and beautiful personalised craft at the various Artisan and Farmer’s markets throughout Trinidad, it is only fitting that I should mention this fantastic cultural event that will be held in our beautiful islands later this year, Carifesta!
So many of my fellow Artisans, not only in Trinidad and Tobago but throughout the Caribbean have been preparing for this year’s event, and rightly so.
Carifesta, traditionally referred to as the Caribbean Festival of Arts, is a Caribbean hosted multicultural Exposition which brings together the vast pletora of cultural creativity and diversity that we as a “colourful” caribbean people with such different and sometimes similar backgrounds have to offer.
How can I not be excited to be a part of an event that will be bursting with a wide range of products produced by talented people. How can I not be excited that for TWO WHOLE WEEKS our little country will be hosting the best in culture; music, theatre, literature, sculpture, paintings, food, drink and so much more!
Carifesta will be held from August 16th to 25th and the official website for Carifesta XIV is carifesta.net and there you will find all the information you need to know about this super event. Maybe this a also a convenient opportunity to plan a vacation to our lovely twin Islands ;).
PS. Sometimes what looks like a typo may not be. As a Trinbagonian and due to the fact that our educational system was British based where you see “colour” and not “color” it’s because that is the way we learnt it:)
