Today I noticed that my Google Maps contributions have reached 1 million views.
What makes me happiest isn’t the number itself. It’s thinking that behind every view there was probably someone looking for a restaurant, planning a trip, discovering a hidden place or simply deciding where to have their next meal.
I joined Local Guides because I genuinely enjoy exploring new places, especially restaurants, local businesses and unique experiences. Sharing photos and honest reviews has become my small way of giving something back to a community that has helped me so many times while travelling.
Reaching this milestone reminds me that even a simple photo or a short review can make a difference for someone else.
Thank you to everyone in the Local Guides community for inspiring me to keep exploring, sharing and helping others discover the world.
