Every Souvenir Narrates a Story!

My family and I have a proclivity for traveling. Whenever we go for sightseeing locally or outside, we rake in a lot more than just good experience. We bring back memories, history, souvenirs, tons of pictures that nearly explode our camera phones[figuratively] and a whole bunch of illumination.

A simple yet planned/unplanned travel experience reward us with incredible memories of a lifetime. The experiences earned by traveling all around the globe, facilitate growth personally & intellectually.

So, Each time I travel, doesn’t matter how far, how so pre-planned or how adventurous it was, there’s one common thing- Any guessing?

Its neither experiences nor memories!

But

The Souvenir Magnets! Tricked you?

but why Souvenirs?

Because they’re the constant reminders of the amazing time we had,

A reminder of the whole life-like experience,

A reminder of that drool-worthy cuisine I nibbled on last month,

A reminder of the tallest/Smallest/Scariest/Silliest/Oldest place I stumbled upon last year.

Apparently, every traveler travels with a purpose in his/her mind, as human beings come in various size and style, so does our purpose of travel.

For example-

  • One of my friends travels with a purpose to soup up his social media profile with daring shots and selfies.
  • Another friend collects Tickets and boarding passes as a keepsake.
  • There’s one who comes back with a new friend at the end of every trip.

So reassuringly, each one of us travels with a purpose whatsoever.

Just like every traveler with a purpose, I always aim for an exquisite Souvenir Magnet on my way back home & that’s all I yearn for. Okay, probably some more cool stuff from the Store I may not even need.

From the moment I set in motion for an outing, to the moment I finally arrive at the Souvenir Store, My heart subtly wishes to explore the entire store and my eyes keep looking for that exclusive Mini Token I’m going home with.

Now let me show you a few of the Souvenir Magnets I own and why I chose them:

  • Virginia Beach When The Ocean Facing Resort was just what I asked for, I came across what I call icing on the cake. A three wheel bike on Virginia boardwalk was three times the fun. On our final day we popped into the Souvenir Store and without a doubt, I picked these two -

  • The feeling of being utterly ignorant about Fossils. My unawareness of numerous extinct species exhibited in the Museum of Natural History (NYC). I entered uneducated but came out a scholar(figuratively). I earned myself this badge-

These souvenirs never let me forget about how Strong, how electrifying, how joyful, how adventurous I felt at some point in my life.

Oftentimes, when my daughter asks about these badges, I look at her and go like-

Once upon a time…

Thank you for a nice story and memories!

I like magnets too. To be honest, I don’t bring them every time, but if I meet something unique, I can’t leave it there. I don’t like a lot “just printed” magnets. I love your one from the natural history museum!

Thank you @Saint_Sennheiser

I concur with you, not everyone has a fascination for magnets. I simply love visiting souvenir shops, checking their collection, moreover, buying a badge.

what kind of souvenir do you like?

I can’t help buying metal pins, postcards, something-shaped magnets.

Also, I collect tickets: museum, cinema, transport… any type.

Yes, souvenir shops are usually so bright with a lot little pretty things, hard to pass by!
