Hey! I’m level 7 Local guide from Ukraine.
Some time ago (a year, maybe year and a half) I’ve used to make edits and some new places addition in my home city (Odessa), and most of it was added to the map. I’ve edited so many wrong names, added so much English versions of place names, fixed so many wrong categories and added several places on the map, that was not added to it before. I’ve really enjoyed this and want to make Google Maps here in Ukraine more popular and convenient for people. Both for a foreigners and for locals.
But last year was different. Every my edit that I make in the maps - no matter what - name, category, new phone number, english name translation - every of it immediately becomes “Not applied”. Today I visited a bank branch that was opened a month ago - it wasn’t on Maps. I’ve tried to add It - with photo, phone number, valid name, working hours and everything. I’ve even tried to add screenshot from official bank site with all these information. And guess what? It become “NOT APPLIED” right after I submit it.
All that story is very disappointing. I’ve used to enjoy Local guides program. I have been doing this for the Idea. But now, when every of my attempts to contribute is rejected - I just don’t want to even try anymore. It is just so dumb. And I know what You will answer - “Google can’t verify You contribution”. But how it can verify it a year ago and can’t verify now? Looks like a bug or something.
I want to continue my contributing. But If i will continue to get immediately reject - well, I will quit.
Any ideas how to fix that?
