Have your ever named a waterfall in your life? Well, I did! And this is the power of the Local Guide program and the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide!
It was June 2019, my boyfriend and I were visiting lake Iseo in Northern Italy, toward the end of the day we went back to the car and were just about to head to the hotel when my boyfriend saw a shy street sign written “cascata” (waterfall in Italian) indicating a direction toward the forest, there was no road and not even a walking path but only fresh grass. My boyfriend is a curious person and we are both adventurous, so he suggested to go to have a look. After some up and downs along the river and trying out the freshness of the river water, this cute waterfall came to our eyes.
In order to have a better look, my boyfriend moved the stones to make a bridge and carefully helped me to get across. And then we had this wonderful view:
The freshness of the air surrounded us in this hot summer day and surprised us with the beauty of nature.
What we found out is that beauty is everywhere, in every hidden corner that you will never expect, you’ll just need to be attentive to discover it.
Once discovered…
As a proud Local Guide, of course I’m going to share it with the world! As it didn’t exist in Google maps, I added a new place and had to give it a name, and actually even in the street sign it was written only waterfall so I couldn’t find its name, then I had to name it!
After thinking about the way we found it out, in order to celebrate the beauty of life and our love, I called it “Cascata dell’amore” - Waterfall of Love, and hope this waterfall will bring luck and love to other visitors who find out about it on Google maps following our path!
