Foreign visitors may not know that a lot has changed in Santiago De Chile since October 18th. People have gone out to the streets in masses to demand the government do something about wealth inequality. It could be a great chance for a traveller to experience the “latin american revolution” vibes, but you have to be careful because there have been acts of violence at times. Just make sure you stay out of the confrontations that happen between police and protesters.
