A few months ago, I decided it would be a good idea to also do some really targeted photography, instead of randomly taking photos wherever life happened to take me. Since then, I have systematically “mapped” 5 different shopping districts (streets or malls).
This is episode 3/5. Also check out episode 1/5 and episode 2/5.
This episode is about the third shopping district that I mapped, which is the Abdijstraat in Hoboken, Antwerpen, with adjacent shopping center “Den Tir”.
Over a two day period, on 15 and 16 August (so precisely 2 months ago today), I photographed all, well most, storefronts in the area. On maps, it looks like this:
207 Poi’s in total, most of them storefronts.
The star photo of this series, is one of a thrift store, with some 160k views in precisely 2 months time.
I’ve noticed that thrift stores in general, at least in the area where I live, get quite a bit of attention on Google Maps.
Other than this, an honorable mention goes to a restaurant in the same street, which got almost 138k views sofar.
In summary for this second shopping district:
- 207 Poi’s (photographed over a 2 day period)
- 160.335 views for the star photo
- 1.124.215 views for all the photo’s combined
- which comes down to an average of 18.429 views per day.
Stay tuned for episode 4 of 5.
