It was my day off and I had to go to the technician to fix my phone, when I was able to access it, a comment on a photo caught my attention, people usually add me to social networks because I spend uploading photos of my volcano in Maps. That day I did not understand why I put aside my activities to show my city to a Turkish boy.
Now eveverything makes sense…
- The greatest gift you can give someone (according to me) is a lookout to appreciate orange skies "sunsets" and only a local could offer you one without fighting and losing it.
- The longer explore your city the more you fall in love with it and make you want the person who is on the other side of the world to come and visit it.
- Now I have many marked places on my list to visit in the future with thousands of recommendations and friends to share including Turkey of course.
From that day on and after all this time at “Local Guide” I learned to use the tools more, to share more photos and to use it in social projects.

**For example here in Mexico we celebrate on January 6 with toys at children and to eliminate the tradition of throwing balloons and polluting our world I decided to make a route to collect “Letters from Reyes Magos” by bicycle, so I made a list in Google Maps of the houses of children and we went, I will never forget that day, and all of this was thanks to uploading a photo of a volcano years ago, thanks to the local Guide team.
