Enchanting Mountain

India’s “unique” Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve (ABR) at Trivandrum district, Kerala State, which is home to more than 2000 species of plants, three wildlife sanctuaries and a tiger reserve
has already been included in UNESCO’s list of World Biosphere Reserve Network. I’ve been there more than 15 times to trek! :wilted_flower:

Wow @rajeshvr1 . This place sounds amazing and abundant with wildlife. When you trek, what types of animals have you seen?

It’s an amazing location blessed with Mother Godess by its natural beauty mate! The regular season time, usually, to visit this dense jungle is between the mid of January month to February month. To be precise, the visiting day ends on Sivaratri day, an auspicious day celebrated by Hindus worldwide. Fortunately I’ve seen only elephants, deer, wild boar, monkeys, snakes etc. This jungle is infested with bears and in one side with tigers. The centre stage of the total wild is the Mountain - Agastyarkoodam. It’s believed the Mountain is tbe abode of Sage Agastya. Below listed links are of government aagencies’ on this mountain and the entry related info.
