I found out about the Google Local guides program in 2018 during a technology conference in Tanzania. Before that i had been one to complain of places without descriptions, reviews and enough information for travellers, Upon learning that i can actually do it, this completely changed me from being a complainer to a do-er. I joined the local guides program. I have been discovering cute amazing places in my neighborhood, taking pictures and giving reviews since then. This has made it possible for business to get noticed and people to discover places.
It give me immense joy to get back feedback that my review was helpful. Absolutely blissful.
Due to the challenge of finding convenient parking spots in Nairobi i’ve started a parking spots mapping exercise. I am creating a list of private vs Public parking spots with information of how much they charge. The process of finding this has not only been exciting but also improved my knowledge of the area.
