This post is about the two amazing businesses which i happen to stumble upon in Daman.

In yellow - Owner of Meher for Women.

In black - Owner of Memsaab

Meher for women - This place is run by Poonam, she has been running this Kurti shop since last six years. The thing that makes her business special is She sells plus size kurtis, sizes upto 5XL are available here. She started this business because she never use to find kurtis of her size and if at all she got them, it was of boring designs in simple colors. She wanted to help plus size women find better looking clothes. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

Memsaab - This store is owned by Asha ji she sells undergarments for women and men as well. She has been running her business since last 25 years. First 10 years she ran it single handedly, later her husband also joined in. She has two amazing daughters. She told me how one of her relative came to her shop for the first time to give her a suprise from Punjab using Google maps.

Both these businesses mostly get business from the locals and Daman being a tourist spot, tourists come to their respective shops mostly via google maps. Visibility of both these businesses has improved because of google maps.
