She loves baking, so her sister’s advice she started her own bakery on a very small scale from home. She promoted it locally and on various social media platforms. She use to get orders but of friends and relatives mostly who wanted to encourage her.
During my empowered women initiative, I added her business Baker’s Love on Google maps. Initially the response was low but slowly it picked up and now she gets orders 3 to 4 orders a week from Google maps standalone from as far as Mumbai. Her bakery was doing fine, but adding her business on Google maps just catalysed her growth by making her visible across the world.
This is the best part about being a local guide, your efforts can bring huge change in someone’s life. I am soo glad that I could help her in her journey. When she thanked me for adding her business, I felt soo proud of being a local guide.

Awesome work @PriyankaU this is exactly the good outcome that Google wants from Maps. Helping small business to find their place in the world. Well done you.
No doubt she is your cousin (looking at the photos I supposed she was your sister)
Ok, seriously, Google Maps can be, if used in the correct way, a powerfull tool to support the small business. I can tell you, I am very happy when I can add a small business in Google Map, talking with the owner, explaining them how can they join for free Google Mybusiness, adding the photos and all the other information.
So proud of you @PriyankaU . Indeed it is the best feeling when you help people out by sharing your knowledge and they benefit. It is a very satisfying and a rewarding experience, isn’t it?
