Hi,
I am having a hard time correcting the embassies here in Muscat, Oman.
Most of them I correct for wrong names, location, timings etcetera, but all my edits were “Not Applied”.
Are embassies locked for editing?
Also my edits for duplicate embassies were “Approved” but still there are two or multiple embassies on the map.
Please help.

There is no way to find out other than trying. Whether a category or individual pin is protected is not public information.
One indicator would be to check if the pins are claimed by the owners. If “Do you own this business” can be found the pin is not claimed. That indicates it should be easier to get Edits approved.
It could easily be that they are better protected, but I have been able to edit some embassies here in Denmark.
