"Electric Road Trips" a new type of tourism. Are they possible near you?

I’ve had the pleasure of making road trips on 3 continents: America, Europe, and Africa, and I love this travel method because of its intensity, fun, and enlightening spirit. For evident reasons, my traveling was suspended, and, quite recently and after getting my vaccines, I began carefully going out.

I started noticing electrical chargers in malls, hotels, and areas outside of the city. It felt as if my country silently started to adapt while we were on lockdown, joining the eco-mobility trend. This photo, for example, shows an electric car charging station that I found in a hotel near the border of the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

I’m happy to predict that If the growth continues, soon it’ll be possible to comfortably make “Electric Road Trips” in the Dominican Republic!

After realizing this, I thought: Wow! Electric Road Trips are some sort of new type of tourism, one that allows its travelers the option to reduce the carbon fingerprint while enjoying the journey. But, how long will it take until this stops being a trend and becomes the norm? Which places are going to adopt this first?

Tell me, how is your country doing on this type of eco-innovation? Are “Electric Road Trips” possible near your home?
