I as a local guide on Google map help people to know about places where I go first and spread positive things about them. When I see things which are found to be hard to praise, then here I suggest some actions to improve their conditions.
The most interesting thing I did as a local guide:
Well, I remember a beautiful thing happened to me last year. It was on 21st February and we were celebrating the International Mother Language Day in one of the remotest areas of Pakistan. The event was held in an expensive hotel. What was most expensive was its “Tea with Cookies” and when I was prompted by google to review about the premises. I wrote that its a gorgeous building, its situated in a beautiful place, it serves luscious food. Then I warned the visitor that “Don’t order for Tea and Cookies” as you will be billed PKR 400 per cup of tea. The management of the hotel took the notice of the review and they revised their rates. They also emailed me about that.
Local Guide program means a lot me, it gives opportunity to bring some change to the society, whether its a minor one. Being local guide like being a citizen journalist when you help people know about places they are planning to visit.
The picture, I uploaded of a village which will sink after some years as a water reservoir is being built in this region, the Dam will call Diamer-Bahash Dam, situated in northern Pakistan.
