Eiffel Bridge in Borjomi & Bakuriani Valley of Georgian

In georgia, we have a tiny train which connects Borjomi to Bakuriani mountains.

The well known Georgian “Kukushka”(კუკუშკა) train on Borjomi-Kharagauli railway gained intangible cultural heritage status.

'Kukushka’ train on its way crosses a bridge designed by French engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. Michael Romanov (Russian Imperial Romanov family member) ordered the bridge in twentieth century. In Georgia bridge was installed by famous engineer-constructor Besarion Keburia.

The bridge is located over Tsemistskali and connects little villages to each other.

Local people call that bridge Eiffel bridge, it is constructed and installed without iron welding.

The First “Kukushka” train is only one functional and narrow gauge line. Today it serves locals and visitors, and it is only railway connection to Borjomi and Bakuriani mountains.

Visit and enjoy your day trip especially in winter season is highly recommended,

If you visit Georgia in winter this is “things to do list” one of spot in cold weather.

Train serves everyday (Price per trip is 2 Georgian Lari) and below is Schedule :

  2. 10:55 AM - 13:21 PM
