Egyptian sea food.

Sea food is essential in the Egyptian kitchen, not only because of its very delicious taste but it also has reasonable prices comparing to meat, also Egypt has long coastal sides on both red sea and the Mediterranean sea in addition to the Nile river.

Today I enjoyed sea food meal with family. we ordered 1.5kg Nile perch fish. plus 1kg of shrimps, and 1kg of Nile perch fish filet.

you can order this meal from this place or any other fishes restaurants as they are many in Egypt but I prefer from here

Green Hypermarket
Maadi as Sarayat Al Gharbeyah, Maadi, Gouvernorat du Caire

the food was enough for 6 adults and 6 children. and it cost only 30$.

@MahabubMunna the post was under edition when you commented brother, please take a look and tell me if it need more information …I tried to add the restaurant but it doesn’t appear in the location list here even though it’s on Google maps.

Hi @Abdoado ! Everything looks delicious, I can’t believe how cheap it was.

I see that you put the location of the post in the supermarket where you bought it, that’s good, but I recommend putting the Google Maps link of the place in the post too, so it’s easier for people interested to check it out. You can easily edit it and paste it there or, even better, use the “insert link” button that’s above the text when you’re editing.

Thank you for sharing

@Jesi yes it was really good but the problem with such delicious food is that even if you get full ,you can’t stop eating until you can’t breathe anymore :))

how much such meal would cost there in Argentina? ?

and thank you for the advice, I will do it.

@Abdoado hahah that’s a big problem, it happens way too often…

I just did the math, but I’m not sure about the shrimp because I don’t usually eat them but I know they are more expensive than other kinds of seafood. The whole meal actually shouldn’t cost that much more here, I would say that at least 7 dollars more than it costed you, but again I don’t know about shrimp prices so maybe more.

But if you ask me in a month I would say that the difference would be of 10 dollars or more :grimacing:

@Jesi it seems that you have economical problem like ours, 2 years ago such meal would cost half price, but the Egyptian pound lost more than half of its value :frowning:

tell me something , do you like shrimps?

@Abdoado nice! I love spicy foods. More interesting then.

Most of people in Indonesia love spicy. We serve seafood in fried or grilled then eat it with varieties Sambal (chilli sauce).

@Abdoado yeah, it seems like neither of our countries are doing so well economically…

I do like shrimps, they are my favorite part of the fried rice I order from Chinese takeouts

I have never had them cooked like it’s done in the photo you shared though, but they look very good. They were cooked just like the fried calamari that is so popular here, which I love. Have you ever eaten fried calamari/squid?

@Jesi yes fried calamari is popular here, but I think that this fried shrimps are more delicious, you know what, just come to Egypt and I will guarantee free fried shrimps for you

by the way here they cook sea food in many different ways, I think you would also love this big fish. you have to come here and write some reviews.

is sea food is your favourite?
