Egusi and bitter leaf / pounded yam.

20200614_143949.gifThis is a very African dish, particularly Nigeria to be more precise. I had this yesterday. Just a little taste of home. Not too sure anyone will be interested in the receipe more so, most of the ingredients can only be found here in west Africa. It can be found abroad too but maybe very scarce and expensive. Well the receipe is well available as I made this “very personally myself” it can be posted on demand. Will attach the ingredients all the same.

INGREDIENTS.

Egusi(Melon seed) NB not water melon.

Bitter leaf

Red oil/palm oil

Fresh cow beef

Tomatoes and pepper(Chili)

Diced onions and garlic and Ginger.

Well if I don’t tag my fellow foodies on this then the post is not in anyway complete, therefore

Yes @mockata2 it is quite tasty. Maybe you’ll get to taste it someday when you come to Africa :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@Designer_Biswajit well if you eat fish it can also be tried with fish so the beef part is not compulsory at all.

Hi @SholaIB Thank you for sharing the rare dish.

Hmmm, the third up from the photo is not available in Japan. But when I can move around, I’ll look for an African restaurant. :running_man:I wish I could eat Egushi there. :plate_with_cutlery:
