Edits not getting approved

I work at Landgate, Western Australia’s Authority on Land Information. I regularly request edits when road names have changed or road extents have been amended. Previously my suggestions were being approved quickly. I now have a number which have been outstanding for a number of months. I always put a reference in stating that the information can be confirmed via Landgate’s Mapviewer program.

Is there any way I can get these requests approved or be marked as a trusted editor? These delays are causing issues to the affected residents who are on the affected roads.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Hi @TonyaB_Maps ,

It’s disconcerting when one’s edit approval pattern changes, such as yours has. I don’t have any solutions to offer – sorry to say, but I and likely most other editors can relate to the frustration. The issue is exasperated by the lack of any communication from Google – communication with Google has always pretty much been a one-way process.

I did wanna respond to your question about a trusted editor. So far there isn’t any such designation available – albeit I bet many mappers have wished for such status. Of course, one’s Google trust level is a reflection of their trusted status – but that just brings us full circle back to your issue where the edit approval pattern has changed for you.

Is it still that way, or has it improved and/or returned pretty much to where it used to be?
