Editor tip #1 Predict when appeal is possible

In your contribution list of edits we sometime have the opportunity to appeal when one if our edits have been rejected.

For long it has been a mystery to me what rejected edits have the appeals option and which don’t. Either there is an appeals button or you will just get a link to some help page.

Today I might have cracked this mystery.

When your rejected edit shows up like this:

And the blue text link says Learn more then you don’t need to open the link as ut will only show you the general content policy document.

But if the blue text link says Details as shown below

then go ahead an click Details to access the Appeals button.

This tip might help you save some time.

Cheers

Morten

PS: The option to appeal rejected edits is currently only available inside the EU due to EU regulations. I hope it will be extended to other countries also.

Intruiging discovery @MortenCopenhagen - and the “#1” in your post title makes me wonder what other tips you might have up your sleeve. Is this the start of another series???

I have #2 planed. It is about using the appeals system to fix otherwise resistent business names. Stay tuned.
