Editing a town name or position on Google maps

Hello all, trust you are good and safe.

My name is Dobe from SS Nigeria. I have noticed that my hometown is not just misspelled but misplaced on the map. This usually leads visitors and people to a wrong location which is not so good for Google maps.

I will be happy if anyone can help me fix this

Such data issues are best dealt with in the Maps support forum.

Select the Community tab at the top.

Make a post and make sure to include official documentation to support your suggestions for a change.

You may want to draw the towns border in a Google My Maps.
